This site is about my experiences of watching sports, mainly football, around the world, with pictures.
My favourite pics…
Grenta penalty v Hearts. Even the Gretna sub can’t bear to watch.
Same game, outside. Boys will be boys.
Saudi Arabia v Tunisia, Munich WC 2006. Fans outside.
Portugal v Iran, Frankfurt WC 2006. Fans inside.
Japan v Croatia, Nuremburg WC 2006. Japanese fans fly the flag.
Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong
Late equaliser at Sagantosu.
Young fan at Urawa Red Diamonds
Old style football at Ebbsfleet
Salisbury’s 119th minute equaliser is the play-off final.
Elvis Hammond scores in front of the Woking fans at Farnborough
Ready for promotion, at a packed RheinEnergy Stadium, Cologne.
Fremantle, not living up to Western Australia’s sunny stereotype.
Soggy St Petersburg. No roof, but plently of light bulbs.

204 in all. 117 with Reading.
The English grounds on here will almost always be non-league grounds. I don’t watch league games unless Reading are playing, and I don’t tend to take a camera to Reading games. Clearly the pictures of “the cities they play in” will be rather limited as well as I’m not likely to go round photographing the sights of Braintree. You can see the same port cranes in the backgrounds of the Tilbury and Ebbsfleet pictures though, which is about exciting as it gets.
